How to Edit Your eBay Listing with AI (Just Ask)

The AI wrote your listing and it's nearly right: the title is missing a detail, or the description skipped the adjustable strap. You don't have to retype it. Just ask. The shop in the video uses example data.

Open Edit with AI

Open the item. Edit with AI is at the top once an item has been analysed, on drafts and live listings alike. A panel opens, the AI Listing Editor. Tell it what to change, in plain words, or start from a suggestion:

• Make it shorter
• Add more keywords
• Sound more professional
• Remove restricted words, for when eBay objects to a word in your listing
• Make title more searchable

Check the preview

Nothing changes yet. It answers with a preview: a list of the changes it made, then the new title and description. Titles stay within eBay's 80-character limit.

It can change the title, description, item specifics and keywords. It doesn't change your price or condition. It's told to change only what you ask for and to describe only what it can see in your photos, so ask for things the photos actually show.

Apply

If it's right, press Apply Changes. On the item page that saves it in Prelo straight away. There's no undo button, so read the preview first. Don't like it? Ask again in the same chat, or edit the text yourself. The chat remembers the conversation, so a follow-up like "make the description shorter" is enough.

On your phone and in the editor

On a phone, Edit with AI is the icon at the top of the item and the editor fills the screen. In the full editor the same chat is called AI Editor: there, Apply Changes fills in the form and you press Save Changes to keep it.

Live listings

On a listing that's already live, applying changes updates Prelo, not eBay. Press Update on eBay to send the new version.

The chat doesn't use credits. You can send up to 40 messages per listing.
