How to Connect Your eBay Account to Prelo (and What It Can Access)

Your items are ready to list, and to publish them on eBay, Prelo needs your eBay seller account, connected once. This guide covers how to connect it, what Prelo can and can't do with it, and how to undo it. The shop in the video uses example data.

Connect

1. Open Settings. Marketplaces is the first tab.
2. The eBay card says Not connected. Press Connect.
3. A window opens on eBay's own site. Sign in there, and eBay lists what you're allowing. Approve it, and you're back in Prelo.

The card now says Connected. If you came from the welcome screen's Connect eBay and import, your live eBay listings come into Prelo as well.

Under it is Sync with eBay. Sync runs a full account sync, so Prelo matches your eBay: it imports new listings, updates prices, and marks sold or ended items. It's safe to run any time.

What Prelo can and can't do

When you approve the connection, Prelo can:

• create, update and end your eBay listings;
• read and update your orders;
• read your business policies and set up a shipping policy;
• run the promotions you set up;
• read your listing traffic.

And what it can't do: you sign in on eBay's own page, so Prelo never sees your eBay password. It has no access to your eBay payouts.

Reconnect every 18 months

eBay asks sellers to re-approve connected apps every eighteen months. Prelo keeps track of the date for you.

• In the last thirty days, a banner on your dashboard shows the date your connection ends. Press Reconnect eBay and approve on eBay again.
• The eBay card in Settings shows the same date, with a Reconnect eBay button. Either place works.
• If your email notifications are on, you'll also get an email thirty days before, another seven days before, and one if it lapses.

If it does lapse, the card says Connection expired. Prelo can't list, sync sales or end sold items on eBay until you reconnect. Reconnecting keeps all your items, listings and settings.

Disconnect

Press Disconnect on the eBay card. Prelo asks why, in one tap: picking a reason disconnects straight away, and Keep connected backs out.

Disconnecting deletes Prelo's stored connection. Your items stay in Prelo, and your live eBay listings stay live. To remove the app on eBay's side as well, do it in your eBay account settings.
