Model Context Protocol

Run your reselling from Claude or ChatGPT.

Prelo is a remote MCP server. Point your assistant at a folder of photos and it uploads them, creates the items, and drafts the title, description and price for each one. You approve the connection once. There are no API keys and nothing to install.

Server URL

https://www.listprelo.com/mcp

Add it as a remote connector in your assistant. Authentication is OAuth, handled in the browser.

Included with Pro.

Connecting it

The same three steps in any client, because the server is remote and the handshake is standard.

  1. 1
    Add the URL
In your assistant's connector settings, add https://www.listprelo.com/mcp as a remote MCP server.
  2. 2
    Approve once
Your browser opens, you sign in to Prelo and approve. The assistant never sees a password.
  3. 3
    Ask for something
Try "what’s in my Prelo account" to check it, then point it at a folder of photos.

What it can do

ToolWhat it does
prelo_whoamiConfirms the connection and reports the account, plan and remaining credits.
prelo_list_itemsLists your items, most recent first, optionally filtered by status.
prelo_get_itemFull detail for one item: title, description, price, condition, SKU, status, photo count.
prelo_start_photo_uploadThe fast path for photos on disk. Creates a draft and returns a presigned upload URL per file.
prelo_finish_photo_uploadConfirms the files landed, attaches them to the draft and marks it ready.
prelo_upload_photosThe slow path, for one or two images already pasted into the conversation.
prelo_create_listingRuns Prelo’s AI over an item’s photos to draft a title, description, price and condition.
prelo_update_itemEdits an existing item’s title, description, price or condition.
prelo_refresh_listingRewrites a title and description in a chosen style: concise, detailed, SEO, friendly, or matching your own.
prelo_set_inventory_skuTags an item with a SKU and marks it stored, for inventory you track by code.
prelo_crosslistPrepares an item for other marketplaces and queues it for the browser extension. Nothing goes live without you.

What it deliberately does not do

Publish to eBay
Drafts are saved to Prelo for you to review and publish from the web app. An assistant never puts a listing live on your account.
Work without a Pro plan
The server checks your plan on every call and refuses anything below Pro. Complimentary Pro access counts.
Run for free
prelo_create_listing consumes one listing credit, the same as creating a listing in the app. Rewrites draw on your plan’s monthly refresh allowance.
Need an API key
Connection is OAuth. You approve it once in your assistant and can revoke it from Prelo at any time. No key to paste, store or leak.
Put a listing live anywhere
It can prepare and queue a cross-list, but nothing publishes on its own. eBay and Etsy hand off to their own publish flow in the web app. Poshmark, Mercari, Depop and Vinted are queued for the browser extension, which opens each pre-filled form the next time Chrome is running and waits for you to press Submit.
Cross-list without your browser
Queued work waits for your browser. If Chrome is shut, it sits until you open it. An assistant should tell you something is queued, never that it is listed.

Questions

Which assistants work with it?
Anything that speaks MCP over HTTP with OAuth. Claude and ChatGPT both do. Add it as a remote connector using the URL above; there is nothing to install locally.
Is this a local server I have to run?
No. It is hosted, so there is no config file to edit, no Node process to keep alive and no path to get wrong. You add a URL and approve the connection.
Can it list my item everywhere?
It can set everything up in one step and queue the work, but every path still ends with you confirming in a browser. That is deliberate: an assistant should not be able to put listings on your marketplace accounts unattended.
What can it actually see?
Your Prelo items and account, nothing else. It has no access to your eBay password, your payment details, or any marketplace account.
How do I revoke it?
From Settings in Prelo. Revoking stops every future call immediately.
Does it upload the photos through the model?
No, and that matters for speed. For files on disk it hands back a presigned URL so the bytes go straight to storage. Base64 through a model call is slow and only used for an image already sitting in the conversation.
What happens to a draft it creates?
It appears in your Items list like any other draft, with the photos attached and the AI fields filled in, ready for you to check and publish.
