Organize Reseller Inventory: Zones, Shelves and SKU Lookup in Prelo
Prelo's Warehouse gives every item a shelf address. Set up zones, racks and shelves, put items away, find any item by SKU, and pick sold items in walking order.
Once you have more than a shelf of stock, finding the thing that just sold is half the job. Prelo's Warehouse gives every item an address on your shelves, so you can look it up by its code. Warehouse is in the sidebar under More, and it's part of the Pro plan. The shop in the video uses example data.
The overview
The top shows how many items are in storage, how many open spots you have, and what's shipped in the last week. Below that are your zones and how full each one is.
Set up your space
Open the Setup Wizard and pick a layout by how much you sell: one zone for up to about fifty items, small and large zones for more, or a multi-zone layout. Then make it match your space. Each zone has a short code, a number of racks, shelves on each rack, and positions on each shelf, and Prelo adds up how many spots that gives you. Tick sub-dividers if you split a position into lettered sections.
Not sure? The AI advisor asks about your space and what you sell, and suggests a layout you can use or change.
Location codes
Every spot gets a code. SM-A-02-07 means the small items zone, rack A, shelf 2, position 7. Write the codes on your shelves and the code tells you where to walk.
Put an item away
Open Intake Item. It lists items that don't have a location yet. Choose the zone and Prelo gives the item the next open spot, starting from rack A, shelf 1. Confirm, and the item gets an internal SKU and its location. Put it on that shelf.
Open a zone to see it shelf by shelf. Filled spots show the item's photo; hover for its title and SKU.
Find any item
Open Scan and Lookup. Type a SKU, or part of one, and you get the item and its location. Search by location to see everything on a shelf. You type the code; there's no camera scanning. Your items list also shows the location under each stored item.
When it sells
The Pick Queue lists sold stored items in walking order: zone, rack, shelf, position. Press Pick when it's in your hand, then add tracking if you like and press Ship. That frees the spot. The location stays in Prelo; it isn't sent to eBay.
